Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez, a Mexican-American performer and actress, is quite famous. As a child Sara was targeted for racial discrimination by a lot of Americans. If she attended an event at school and was given high praise for her singing when she was in the ninth grade, the girl began to grow more confident. This not only increased her confidence, but also her goals changed. When she was 22 she was a graduate of the New York's Julliard School. As she was turning 23 years old, she launched her career on Broadway in the Paul Simon musical The Capeman. Then, when she was 23 she made her film debut in You've Got Mail. Her most memorable break came from her performance as The Lady of The Lake in the original Broadway version of Spamalot. She was awarded the Tony Award and received great reviews for her role. She gained more recognition by appearing on Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. In addition to being an acclaimed singer she released a solo and an extended piece. As an activist, she works tirelessly to promote LGBT equality.
